The gear 2 is a device that nobody proposal would appear... At the least no longer this quickly after the first version. It is whatever of a climbdown for Samsung to relaunch a product so soon, but as an alternative than call it embarrassing i'd a lot as an alternative applaud Samsung for the feat.<br />
<br />
Admittedly those that purchased the primary, costly, model is not going to be joyful there is a new one out already - but alternatively, it's an awfully nascent market and there will not be too many customers out there.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjbraUJzQ5tzqdjNvZnLd751_MieY1eYxJdWYseWO-rMmSnNVVIH4JakvwXMnuTFH6awDnauWAhxxDdA7Mr4m8j72wYIC-H84w-Hh4b8FRFL6ttet-S0QmMX_Ejf5lP7cXo_ZUC474sEvM/s1600/Samsung_Gear_2_review+%25282%2529-420-90.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="358" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjbraUJzQ5tzqdjNvZnLd751_MieY1eYxJdWYseWO-rMmSnNVVIH4JakvwXMnuTFH6awDnauWAhxxDdA7Mr4m8j72wYIC-H84w-Hh4b8FRFL6ttet-S0QmMX_Ejf5lP7cXo_ZUC474sEvM/s640/Samsung_Gear_2_review+%25282%2529-420-90.JPG" width="640" /></a></div>
<br />
The gear 2 has a enormous exchange or two compared to the normal: first of all, it's now jogging Samsung's jointly-developed Tizen OS as a substitute than Android, and it can be moved the digital camera into the physique of the watch, alternatively than forcing it onto the strap.<br />
<br />
The overall seem is far-sophisticated and there is a bevy of recent science to make this valued at a seem when you pushed aside the primary apparatus.<br />
<br />
<h2 style="text-align: left;">
Samsung Gear 2 Overview</h2>
<h2 style="text-align: left;">
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://mos.futurenet.com/techradar/art/Watches/Samsung/Galaxy%20Gear%202/Gear%202%20hands%20on/Hands%20on%203/Gear_2_review%20(1)-420-90.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://mos.futurenet.com/techradar/art/Watches/Samsung/Galaxy%20Gear%202/Gear%202%20hands%20on/Hands%20on%203/Gear_2_review%20(1)-420-90.JPG" height="359" width="640" /></a></div>
</h2>
this means that you may now change straps for your Galaxy equipment, which is likely one of the essential disadvantages we noted within the long-established. It's also now imbued with an infra-crimson blaster, meaning you can manage your television and set high box from the alleviation of your own wrist.<br />
<br />
You're going to desire a compatible Samsung gadget with the intention to use the apparatus 2, of which there are presently 18, together with the new Galaxy S5.<br />
<br />
At the same time it is managed to convey in some key specs and beef up the design quite, the gear 2 remains to be a alternatively expensive smartwatch, coming in at £250 ($295, AU$350). That is virtually the rate the customary emerged at, and it suffered due to that cost tag.<br />
<br />
The rationale is inconspicuous: while the gear 2 is a cool factor to have (Samsung would not want it being known as an adjunct, instead a standalone gadget) it nonetheless struggles to have an actual use case, which is why losing that so much money is usually a hard promote to patrons still getting to grips with spending a lot on a smartphone.<br />
<br />
To alleviate that purpose for purchase, Samsung has decided to add in some health ability with the apparatus 2 in the form of a sophisticated pedometer and a coronary heart expense reveal, as good as endeavor tracking so which you could run, stroll, hike or cycle.<br />
<br />
The battery lifestyles is improved vastly, the gear 2 can splash round in water and dust due to being IP67 rated and comes in a variety of nicer colours (rose gold and silver) and is frequently a significantly better device - but is it worth the nonetheless-high fee tag Samsung is commanding, in particular when the equipment 2 Neo (the same smartwatch produced from inferior materials and losing the digicam) is a lot more cost effective?<br />
<br />
<h2 style="text-align: left;">
Design</h2>
The design of the gear 2 is very similar to the primary iteration of Samsung's smartwatches, however nonetheless manages to come with its possess sense of exact style.<br />
<br />
It can be rough to give an explanation for, however the fact the strap is now a separate piece to the principal physique of the watch has forced Samsung to refine the design of things like the digicam and the house button.<br />
<br />
<h2 style="text-align: left;">
Samsung Equipment 2 Review</h2>
Correctly, the latter phase is ordinarily one of the first-rate bits of the reshaped equipment 2, with the dwelling button now on the entrance of the mobile phone as a substitute than being a small plastic protrusion on the side of the watch.<br />
<br />
That is essential should you've got even a modicum of arm hair, as tapping the button would mostly result in pulling out just a few stray follicles, meaning you're left with a Pavlovian hate of making use of your high priced new watch.<br />
<br />
With the metallic button on the front, with a best quantity of travel, the expertise is the same as far as the UI goes (lengthy press to show off or activate out of doors mode) and you could assign many options to the double tap action.<br />
<br />
<h2 style="text-align: left;">
Samsung Apparatus 2 Assessment</h2>
This implies it is handy to access elements like notifications with the gear 2 in sleep mode, and is a swift motion too.<br />
<br />
The equipment 2 isn't a small device, coming in at 36.9 x 58.4x 10.Zero mm, nevertheless it does not believe cumbersome on the wrist. It's overt, that's for certain, and those who select a smaller and daintier timepiece is not going to believe like it is a nice fashion accessory, but when you're looking to get your palms on a smartwatch it is now not over the top.<br />
<br />
<h2 style="text-align: left;">
Samsung Gear 2 Evaluation</h2>
The Sony Smartwatch 2 and the Pebble steel are each better gadgets in terms of size, however Samsung's mixture of business design and more refined elements (like the digicam and IR blaster integration) still brings an detail of premium nice to court cases.<br />
<br />
The display, a 1.Sixty three-inch OLED affair, is first-class too. It's now not best if you are looking to do some thing with high res portraits, corresponding to portraits or equivalent, nevertheless it's great for any snaps you have got taken utilising the gear 2.<br />
<br />
The contrast ratio of the OLED monitor approach if you are doing some thing like timing your meals, testing how many steps you've taken or simply flicking by means of music, appears fairly best and is a nice expertise on whatever you might have spent a lot money on.<br />
<br />
Design-wise i'm an actual fan of what Samsung has accomplished with the apparatus 2 - it is tough to fault the commercial design that won plaudits in its last new release from jewellers. The screw holes would have disappeared, which is some thing of a shame given than added to its premium industrial design, but it surely's still acquired an awfully smooth seem to it.<br />
<br />
Being ready to vary the straps will likely be a real boon to a few users, however I particularly just like the straps that healthy. I'm not a tremendous fan of the Rose Gold color that I had on scan, however it nonetheless drew some admiring glances from others.</div>

<b>Micromax Yureka (yes, it is not YU but YUREKA)</b> has been launched and suprisingly the phone is priced below what most would have expected. <b>At Rs. 8999/-</b> the phone probably has one of the highest “Value For Money” quotient!<br />
<br />

<br /></div>
While most of the details we put up yesterday (read below) are bang
on, we expected a 3GB RAM phone with higher storage space. But at Rs.
8999, there is nothing much to complain about. The phone is firmly
targeted at mid-range users and competes with likes of <b>Redmi Note 4G</b> and <b>second generation Moto G.</b><br />

The phone is definitely going to appeal to millions of Indians, as it
checks most of the boxes that people want. It is dual Sim, has
expandable storage and comes with decent 2GB RAM, which means it is not
going to stutter even with some heavy applications running.<br />
What we expected was that Cyanogenmod OS would launch their Lollipop
CM12 update, but that did not happen. Once this phone is updated to
CM12, the phone is really going to shine with their 64bit SOC support!<br />
The only downside we see with this phone is the battery. The 5.5 inch
screen on Yureka is going to guzzle battery like crazy and it should
just about pull through the day with normal usage. Thankfully, it has
CyanogenMod on it, which should help with battery life.<br />
<b>Overall, it is an excellent phone for the price </b><br />
We will post a detailed review as soon as we get our hands on it!<br />
<i><b><br /></b></i>
Finally, the much talked about Micromax Yu Branded phone will launch
on Thursday, December 18th. And from what we know, the phone is not only
going to be a beast, but will also come at a price point that is
extremely competitive!<br />
Yes, something very similar to OnePlus One (or even better). The
launch will be in New Delhi on 18th, followed by events in Mumbai (19th)
and Delhi (20th). Micromax co-founder Rahul Sharma is expected at all
the 3 events. Here is the invitation we have received from Micromax.<br />
<b>But first, why Micromax Yu as a separate brand?</b><br />
Micromax needs to reinvent itself due to onslaught of newer Chinese
brands like Xiaomi, OnePlus and Gionee. They are selling phones that are
not only better, but also at a price point that is affordable to most!<br />
While Micromax Smartphones are cheap, they have also known to churn out under-powered devices. <b>With Micromax Yu they want to reposition</b> themselves against these Chinese Smartphone players.<br />
<b>Are you wondering how the first Micromax Yu phone will be?</b><br />
While Micromax has not announced anything, we know from our sources
that it will be a high-end phone, that will probably have better
specifications than OnePlus and price which is even lower!<br />
Here are the specification details that we know…<br />
The Yu Smartphone will be the first in India to have a 64 bit support. It will be powered by the <b>Qualcomm Snapdragon 615 octa-core CPU</b> and will support the 4G-LTE networks in India.<br />
As far as the screen goes, it will<b> 5.5 inch screen with HD display or higher</b>.<br />
[<b>Updated:</b> We just got hold of main Micromax Yu Specifications. Here they are]
With Micromax’s exclusive partnership with Cyanogen OS, there is no
question which OS Micromax Yu will sport. However, it is interesting
that only Android Lollipop supports 64 bit architecture, and Cyanogen is
still not out with their Lollipop update. It might just happen that
Micromax Yu may be the first phones to get their upcoming Lollipop
updates.<br />
With Micromax Yu, they are also changing the way the phones will be sold.<b> It will be Online-Only model</b> just like OnePlus One and Xiaomi phones. The Yu phones will be available exclusively on Amazon India.<br />
Wondering what the price of this phone will be? Any guesses?<br />
Again, there is no official confirmation, <b>but in our view price will be around Rs. 19,999/-</b>. At that price, Micromax YU will probably be the most Value For Money high-end smartphone available in the market.<br />
I am wondering what are the likes of Samsung, LG, HTC, Sony and others are going to do…<br />
Update: Ok, so the price of the phone is closer to Rs. 10,000 rather
than Rs. 20,000. While I am happy that price is very low, it also
suggests that phone probably has 2GB RAM (or 1GB) rather than 3GB which I
had expected. The import details shows that the import cost of this
phone is Rs. 8301. So, it will be priced around 9-10k! Probably
competing with Redmi Note 4G.<br />
<br />
And here is the actual picture of the phone!<br />
<br />
<h3>
First Micromax Yu Yureka Sale</h3>
On January 13th, first Yu Yureka Sale happened and Micromax had
announced that they had 10,000 units for sale. The sale was a complete
fiasco with over 300,000 users registering for 10,000 phones. However,
after the sale many users came to know that evem 10k phones were not
available, only 3000 were available for price of 8,999. Many users were

<span style="font-size: large;">For the past couple of weeks, we have seen one of the upcoming
Samsung phones for 2014, and it certainly looks like the Korean tech
giant wants to directly aim at the upcoming 4.7-inch version of the
iPhone 6. </span><br />
<span style="font-size: large;">
</span><span style="font-size: large;">According to several leaked images and reports, the Galaxy Alpha,
Samsung's answer to the smaller iPhone 6, will be the manufacturer's
first smartphone to actualy get a metal frame. </span><br />
<span style="font-size: large;"><br /></span>
<span style="font-size: large;">While it is not the news we wanted - we certainly would have wanted a
metal case from front to back - it is still considered a huge leap for
Samsung who have always settled for polycarbonate plastic in its
flagships.<br />
</span><span style="font-size: large;">The interesting thing to point out here is that aside from the
rumored chipset, the Samsung Galaxy Alpha is actually a high midranger. </span><br />
<span style="font-size: large;"></span><br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<span style="font-size: large;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgXCvcFHmrfN_YerhHHFZ58lqn0KPofW4kaudq7c1cNEZuWYG2BZw7pqIpBMfyMjmWslLw0jvkcEhaj_rqHE1E0lZkNPvsMKiDolbQDkZSMEcKX6kL3gBXGTgx9kD05UKTSSePKkJDE5gs/s1600/upcoming-samsung-phones-2014-fastest-samsung-handset-on-the-planet.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgXCvcFHmrfN_YerhHHFZ58lqn0KPofW4kaudq7c1cNEZuWYG2BZw7pqIpBMfyMjmWslLw0jvkcEhaj_rqHE1E0lZkNPvsMKiDolbQDkZSMEcKX6kL3gBXGTgx9kD05UKTSSePKkJDE5gs/s1600/upcoming-samsung-phones-2014-fastest-samsung-handset-on-the-planet.jpg" height="360" width="640" /></a></span></div>
<span style="font-size: large;"><br /></span><br />
<span style="font-size: large;">
</span><span style="font-size: large;">The
upcoming Android smartphone gets a 4.7-inch display with only HD (1280 x
720) resolution, compared to the QHD (2560 x 1440) display of the
Galaxy S5 LTE-A for Korea, and the Galaxy Note 4. </span><br />
<span style="font-size: large;">
</span><span style="font-size: large;">Other specs of the Galaxy Alpha include a 12 or 13MP primary
camera, possibly with OIS, 2GB of RAM, and 32GB of built-in memory
without microSD card expansion, eerily similar to that of the iPhone. </span><br />
<span style="font-size: large;">
</span><span style="font-size: large;">However, what most reports and consumers are waiting for is the
Exynos chip that will come with the device. There are some rumors which
claim that the Samsung Galaxy Alpha would get the company's latest
Exynos 5433 chipset, which in a previous benchmark trumped the latest
Qualcomm chip, none other than the Snapdragon 805. </span><br />
<span style="font-size: large;">
</span><span style="font-size: large;">If the Exynos chip outperformed the Snapdragon 805 in a smartphone
that has a QHD display, then theorethically, it should be leaps and
bounds faster in just an HD screen. </span><br />
<span style="font-size: large;">
Is Samsung finally launching a no-compromise handset just to match
Apple's iPhone 6? That's still uncertain right now, though if the rumors
do pan out to be true, then we could see one of the closest mactchups
between Apple and Samsung in recent years. </span></div>

<div style="text-align: left;">
<span style="font-size: large;">Wow, we had a busy winter and early spring, at least in terms of new
Android phones. This year kicked off with CES 2014 in January, and was
followed quickly by Mobile World Congress 2014 in February where we had
our first look at the Galaxy S5. Then, in late March, we were introduced
to the HTC One (M8). Smartphone makers certainly aren’t sitting still —
who could expect them to? — and that means the market is ripe with some
new devices.</span></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<span style="font-size: large;">
</span></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<span style="font-size: large;">So, of course, we’re here to bring you our latest quarterly listing
of the top 5 Android phones on the market. As usual, these are <em>not in any specific order. </em>Yes,
we think the One (M8) is the best Android phone on the market right
now, but we know tastes differ among consumers. Let’s get started.</span></div>
<br />
<strong><span style="color: #38761d;"><span style="font-size: x-large;">1. LG G3</span></span></strong><br />
<br />
<img alt="" src="http://media.emirates247.com/images/2014/06/LG-G3.jpg" width="456" /><br />
<span style="font-size: large;"><br />
The LG G3 can be easily termed as the most powerful Android phone in the market today (July 2014).<br />
The device is the latest entrant into the market with LG having launched the phone in June.</span>
<br />
<span style="font-size: large;"> <img alt="" src="http://media.emirates247.com/images/2014/06/lg-g3-official-1.jpg" width="456" /><br />
It arrived into the UAE market this month (July).</span>
<span style="font-size: large;"><br />
Display-wise it has a 5.5 inch screen and a 2,560 x 1,440 (Quad HD)
resolution and is powered by a quad-core (Qualcomm Snapdragon 801) Krait
400 processor.</span>
<span style="font-size: large;"><br />
Another significant feature of the LG G3 is its 13 MP camera that comes with a laser autofocus for taking much faster pictures.</span>
<span style="font-size: large;"><br />
While the 16GB device comes with a 2GB RAM the 32 GB model has a 3GB RAM.</span>
<span style="font-size: large;"><br />
The expandable memory slot can take an SD card with upto 128GB memory. A
16 GB model of LG G3 can be currently purchased in the UAE for Dh2,199.</span>
<span style="font-size: large;"><br /></span>
<span style="font-size: x-large;"><br />
<span style="color: #38761d;"><strong>2. HTC One M8</strong></span></span><br />
<span style="font-size: large;">
</span><span style="font-size: large;"><br /></span>
<span style="font-size: large;"><img alt="" height="281" src="http://media.emirates247.com/images/2014/06/HTC-One-M8.jpg" width="456" /></span>
<span style="font-size: large;"><br />
The phone stands out in terms of design and specs with its metallic finish and an equally powerful processor.</span>
<span style="font-size: large;"><br />
Like last year`s HTC One M7, the latest edition retains the design
elements with a metallic uni-body finish that flows right up to the
slightly bigger 5-inch, full HD (1080p) display.</span>
<span style="font-size: large;"><br />
With a quad-core Snapdragon 801 processor, and a 2GB RAM, the device is definitely faster compared to the previous edition.</span>
<span style="font-size: large;"><br />
The ultrapixel dual camera in the smartphone - the first of its kind in a
mobile device is actually a 4MP camera that uses larger sensors for low
light conditions.</span>
<span style="font-size: large;"><br />
HTC initially launched the device in three colours – Grey, Silver and
Gold. It later introduced additional versions adding a red variant and a
Harmon Kardon edition.</span>
<span style="font-size: large;"><br />
The device can be purchased today in the UAE at Dh2,199.<br />
</span>
<span style="font-size: x-large;"><br />
<span style="color: #38761d;"><strong>3. Samsung Galaxy S5</strong></span></span><br />
<span style="font-size: large;">
</span><span style="font-size: large;"><br /></span>
<span style="font-size: large;"><img alt="" src="http://media.emirates247.com/images/2014/06/galaxy-s5.jpg" width="456" /></span>
<span style="font-size: large;"><br />
The device holds the distinction of possibly being the number one
selling Android smartphone so far this year. Samsung unveiled the device
at Berlin in February with some new features - water and dust
resistant, additional sensors to measure heart rate, a pedometer to
track and measure the walking distance, calories, speed, duration, and
so on.</span>
<span style="font-size: large;"><br />
Samsung received a lot of flak for persisting with the same design as that on the Galaxy S4.</span>
<span style="font-size: large;"><br />
The hardware however is powerful enough with a 2.5 GHz quad core krait
400 processor and Qualcomm Snapdragon 801 chipset and a 2GB RAM.</span>
<span style="font-size: large;"><br />
The S5, however, comes with a 2800mAh removable battery. The device is currently available here in the UAE for Dh2,099.</span>
<span style="font-size: large;"><br /></span>
<span style="font-size: large;"><br /></span>
<span style="font-size: x-large;"><span style="color: #38761d;"><strong>4. Sony Xperia Z2</strong></span></span><br />
<span style="font-size: large;">
</span><span style="font-size: large;"><br /></span>
<span style="font-size: large;"><img alt="" src="http://media.emirates247.com/images/2014/06/Xperia-Z2-official.jpg" width="456" /></span>
<span style="font-size: large;"><br />
Sony’s latest device is a power horse. The Xperia Z2 was also announced
at the MWC but Sony failed to roll it out into retail stores for several
months.</span>
<span style="font-size: large;"><br />
It only arrived here at the local and regional markets last month in
June. The most impressive feature of the phone is its camera – thanks to
its 20.7 MP sensor and is capable of recording 4K videos.</span>
<span style="font-size: large;"><br />
The device incorporates the latest Sony TV display technologies.</span>
<span style="font-size: large;"><br />
In terms of design, the phone looks similar to its predecessor. The
phone comes with a one-piece aluminum frame with glass panels all
around. Sony has however increased the display size of the Z2 to 5.2”
offering high-resolution Full HD Triluminos Display with X-Reality and a
1920 x 1080 progressive scan at 423 pixels per inch.</span>
<span style="font-size: large;"><br />
In terms of hardware the phone is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 801
2.3GHz quad-core processor, 3GB RAM and also a large 3200 mAh battery.</span>
<span style="font-size: large;"><br />
The device can be currently purchased in the UAE for Dh2,199.<br />
</span>
<span style="color: #38761d;"><span style="font-size: large;"><br /></span>
<span style="font-size: x-large;"><strong>5. Lenovo Vibe Z</strong></span></span><br />
<span style="font-size: large;">
</span><span style="font-size: large;"><br /></span>
<span style="font-size: large;"><img alt="" src="http://media.emirates247.com/images/2014/06/Lenovo-Vibe-Z.jpg" width="456" /></span>
<span style="font-size: large;"><br />
One of the first devices to be launched in the regional market this year
Lenovo Vibe Z is the company’s first smartphone that is LTE-enabled.</span>
<span style="font-size: large;"><br />
The design of the phone looks wanting for improvement with a polycarbonate plastic body and weighs just 147 grams.</span>
<span style="font-size: large;"><br />
The phone has a 5.5 inch screen, Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 Quad-core
2.2GHz processor, 2GB RAM and up to 16GB of internal storage, apart from
a 13MP rear and 5Mp front camera.</span>
<span style="font-size: large;"><br />
The device can be currently purchased for Dh1,499.</span><br />

First things first. This is a phone from Micromax, but it does not look like a phone from Micromax. In fact, it looks like a phone from a well-heeled international brand, the sort that Micromax wants to become in the near future. This is the Micromax Canvas Knight, the phone that will take over the flagship mantle for the company from today.<br />

<strong style="border: 0px; margin: 0px; padding: 0px;">Design:</strong> As I said this phone does not look like a Indian phone. In fact, it has the cuts and sides of the Apple iPhone 5s and even reminded me a bit of the Lava Iris Pro 30, which also had a similar design language. The unibody design is reinforced by what seems, and feels, like a graphite frame. There are mico-SIM slots on both sides that can be accessed by a pin. And, no there is no space for a SD card. Another thing that sets this phone apart is the power key, that is now placed along with the volume keys on the right. This take a bit of getting used to.</div>
<div id="tapbeyond" style="-webkit-box-shadow: rgba(0, 0, 0, 0.498039) 0px 5px 10px; align-content: center; background-color: white; border-bottom-left-radius: 6px; border-bottom-right-radius: 6px; border-top-left-radius: 6px; border-top-right-radius: 6px; border: 0px; box-shadow: rgba(0, 0, 0, 0.498039) 0px 5px 10px; clear: both; font-family: Georgia, 'Helvetica Neue', Helvetica, Tahoma, Verdana, Arial; font-size: 16px; line-height: 22px; margin: 10px 5px 10px 0px; min-height: 57px; padding: 15px; vertical-align: middle;">
<span style="background-color: transparent; color: #444444; font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 15px;">The camera, the 16 MP sensor that it houses, results in a significant bump on the rear and there is an extra rear cover to sort of protect it. This feature is a bit like the one on the Nokia Lumia 502 and it becoming common in slim phones with large cameras. The phone is very light and easy to handle despite the large screen.</span></div>
<div style="border: 0px; color: #444444; font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 15px; line-height: 22px; padding: 0px 0px 15px;">

<strong style="border: 0px; margin: 0px; padding: 0px;">Screen & Audio:</strong> The Full HD IPS panel is one of the best features of this phone. To start with, there is hardly any light bleed on the sides. The phone can be bright enough to be legible in bright sunlight. The audio quality is good, but not great. The overall experience, however, is quite good.</div>
<div style="border: 0px; color: #444444; font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 15px; line-height: 22px; padding: 0px 0px 15px;">
<strong style="border: 0px; margin: 0px; padding: 0px;">Performance:</strong> This is a Tru Octa core phone. So performance should not be, and is not, and issue at all. In fact, the Antutu benchmark scored it in the top draw and exclaimed ‘amazing’. Yes, that doesn’t mean much for an average used. What matter for him is the fact that there is no lag anywhere and that multi-tasking is a breeze. We tried multi-tabbed browsing on Chrome and the experience was superb. </div>

Facebook has finally started rolling-out its Messenger voice-calling
feature to other nations, with the service now available in India. The
company quietly updated the Messenger service over the weekend to bring
the functionality, which was first introduced in the US and Canada<br />
<br />
The
voice calling service in India is available via Facebook
Messenger for Android and iOS. The voice-calling service will let users
call their Facebook contacts for free, using either mobile data or
Wi-Fi, similar to other VoIP services.<br />
<br />
Within the Facebook
Messenger Android app, users can initiate a voice call by selecting a
friend,
tapping the menu option, and selecting the "Free Call" option. Within
the iOS app, users can initiate a voice call by selecting a friend from
their conversation list and tapping the three dots (or "i" icon if you
have an older version) in the upper right hand corner, which reveals a
"Call" option.<br />
<br />
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEh5Ur4gsKzvvfdpvkZAkG6Yy0z59Naa7RaD-jWugkkMCj3DmsZjszn3R9btgBHXuGWrT1PejxHGoiVWksCEo83lpFogwGzmIlEhGkyYR7nGTkR1vJnPD-7tvZIU8R09PDsJ1lxZHH09LEg/s1600/images.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="clear: right; float: right; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-left: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEh5Ur4gsKzvvfdpvkZAkG6Yy0z59Naa7RaD-jWugkkMCj3DmsZjszn3R9btgBHXuGWrT1PejxHGoiVWksCEo83lpFogwGzmIlEhGkyYR7nGTkR1vJnPD-7tvZIU8R09PDsJ1lxZHH09LEg/s1600/images.jpg" /></a>That
said, users won't receive a normal phone call. Instead they'll receive a
push notification on their screens with the caller's name. Also, users
can only connect with a conversation partner who also has Facebook
Messenger for Android installed on their phone.<br />
<br />
Users cannot ring up a Facebook friend who is logged in through the website, and mobile or landline numbers cannot be dialled.<br />
<br />
Earlier this month, Facebook finally introduced its Messenger app for the Windows
Phone platform, specifically Windows Phone 8. The Facebook Messenger
app for Windows 8 notably doesn't support a few features available for
other platforms, such as voice messaging, and chat heads.<br />
<br />
In late
February, the company announced the closure of its Facebook
Messenger service for Windows and Firefox platforms.<br />

on an Android phone, you should be careful about what you talk about or
share on the instant messaging app. Using a few scripts and a rogue
app, anyone can peer into your chat logs and see what you talk about
with your friends.<br /> A Dutch security consultant has found that
WhatsApp chat logs saved on the SD card of an Android phone can be read
by other apps because of the way Android allows sharing of data between
apps.<br /> <br /> "The WhatsApp database is saved on the SD card which can
be read by any Android application if the user allows it to access the
SD card. And since majority of the people allows everything on their
Android device, this is not much of a problem," Bas Bosschert wrote on
his blog.<br /> <br /> "What do we need to steal someone's WhatsApp
database? First we need a place to store the database," Bosschert
explained. "Next thing we need is an Android application which uploads
the WhatsApp database to the website."<br /> <br /> When an Android
application is installed, whether from the Play store or through an APK
file, which is an installer file for Android phones and can be
downloaded from various sources, the app requests for permissions to use
network and SD card etc.<br /> <br /> To explain his hack, Bosschert set up
a web server and then created an Android application that required
several special permissions on a user's phone. But because Android OS
allows applications to access various parts of the phone - this is why
users can conveniently share almost everything through any app on
Android phone - Bosschert's app had no difficulty gaining access to
WhatsApp data.<br /> <br /> Bosschert wrote that the code that allows his
application to access WhatsApp data and then upload it to his web server
can be added to a popular Android app by a rogue developer to fool
users and steal WhatsApp chat logs.<br /> <br /> The older versions of
WhatsApp were so insecure that they didn't even encrypt their data
stored on SD card. The data from older versions of whatsApp could be
read by anyone once it was uploaded on the web server. Even the data
from newer version of WhatsApp, which uses encryption, can be accessed
with ease.<br /> <br /> "The WhatsAppp database is a SQLite3 database which
can be converted to Excel for easier access. Lately WhatsApp is using
encryption to encrypt the database, so it can no longer be opened by
SQLite. But we can simply decrypt this database using a simple python
script. This script converts the crypted database to a plain SQLite3
database," wrote Bosschert. "We can conclude that every application can
read the WhatsApp database and it is also possible to read the chats
from the encrypted databases."<br /> <br /> Bosschert joked, "Facebook didn't need to buy WhatsApp to read your chats."<br /> The security issue apparently doesn't exist on iPhones or Windows Phone
devices because on these smartphones, apps have limited access to
storage and other phone hardware. The more flexible access to phone
hardware allows Android apps to talk to each other and helps a user
quickly share content between apps. This is very convenient compared to
what is possible on iPhone or Windows Phone, where it is difficult to
share content between apps. But it also exposes data to rogue apps.<br /> <br />
Google says that it keeps an eye on apps inside its Play store and
removes apps if they pose any security risks. But this doesn't negate
the fact that theoretically it is possible for a rogue app to do more
damage on Android because of the open nature of the OS compared to iOS,
which uses silos. Google also advises people against installing apps
that don't come through Play store. By default Android phones are set to
not install apps downloaded outside the Play store. </span></div>

dual-OS (operating system) devices, which will support both Android and Windows, by June.<br />
The company has just signed the licence agreement with Microsoft to
make Windows-based phones and will put this along with its existing
Android system to bring out the dual-OS phones in about six months, the
company's chairman Sudhir Hasija said.<br />
This comes soon after
Nokia moved out of its Windows-only strategy to launch low-cost
smartphones that run on the Android operating system.<br />
"Microsoft has eased the regulations and is opening up its platform for
other players. We signed the agreement two days ago and will launch a
range of Windows phones in about three months," Hasija said. The
dual-OS phones will be out by June, and will target office-going
professionals and 'techies', he said. The company is yet to zero in on
the price range.<br />
<br />
Karbonn, which at present sources all their
products from Taiwan and Korea, is actively working on setting up a
manufacturing unit in India, with a capacity to make one million phones a
month. While local manufacturing will not give any cost benefits, it
will help with faster turnaround of new launches in the market, Hasija
said. The company is considering Tamil Nadu to set up its factory since
the state has access to ports and a precedent in the supply chain for
mobile phone manufacturing with the Nokia factory.<br />
<br />
New launches
apart, the company will also focus on driving up sales using apps that
promote augmented reality. On Friday, Karbonn launched a range of mobile
and tablet apps that use augmented reality to bring out features and
games related to characters from the movie Kochadaiiyaan with
Rajinikanth in the lead role.<br />
<br />
The company will also soon start
making interactive hoardings and newspaper-advertisements where the
characters in the hoarding/newspaper will come alive in 3D through the
app on the phone. <br />

Google and Motorola have officially unveiled the Moto X,
the company's newest flagship smartphone. The Moto X is the first
smartphone designed under the auspices of both Google and Motorola.<br />
Available<span class="st"> Motorola <i>Moto X</i> Price in India (2014, March 2nd): Rs. 36499.</span><br />
The Moto X sports a 4.7-inch 720p screen and has a dual-core
processor, a quad-core GPU and 2GB of system RAM. It includes support
for the 802.11ac WiFi, Bluetooth 4.0 and it supports Miracast (wireless
HDMI) and NFC.<br />
It has a 2-megapixel front-facing camera and a 10-megapixel rear
camera. The rear camera uses Clear Pixel technology, which is supposed
to capture 75% more light than a traditional RGB sensor. Motorola says
that means it can take photos twice as fast in bright light, which means
less motion blur.<br />

The phone also has a specially designed custom battery that promises
31% additional capacity, while keeping the shape of the phone
comfortable to hold.<br />
The phone has Corning Gorilla Glass for the screen and the internals
are have a water-repellent coating, which should make the phone safe to
use in the rain.<br />

Rovio’s Angry Birds Go is off to a fast start on Android, on the App
Store and Google Play since its launch earlier this month. The game sees
the franchise’s famous pigs and birds racing downhill in go-karts,
collecting coins and blasting off of speed ramps as they compete to win
each race.Since each race takes place on a mostly downhill course,
acceleration is handled by gravity and speed ramps, and players only
need to steer. The game supports both tilt and touch controls for
steering, and karts can be upgraded with better handling (along with
acceleration, top speed and other factors) with the coins players
collect in each race.<br />
Races in Angry Birds Go come in multiple forms, from traditional races
against other karts to solo bomb races, among others. Each event rewards
up to three stars, and comes with an individual leaderboard for
tracking a player’s high scores against others.<br />
While Angry Birds Go is already a success, Rovio has announced plans to
update the game with more content in the future. “In spring 2014 it’ll
be bringing multiplayer to Angry Birds Go.<br />
It takes hardly 168MB of Memory Size.<br />

Electronic Arts has launched the remake of its classic 1997 PC title,
Dungeon Keeper, releasing it for the Android and iOS mobile platforms.<br />
Dungeon Keeper for Android and iOS is a free-to-download game that
features an in-app purchase system. The game flaunts 3D graphics, and
the overall design is consistent with the original title. The game is
both a tower defence-style (when defending) with real-time strategy
(when attacking) game.<br />
The gameplay of Dungeon Keeper enables the player to build an
underground nest and defend it against the enemy attacks. The enemies
comprise trolls, demons, warlocks and others. Players can make the
enemies enter a torture chamber or lead them towards an unexpected spike
traps, cannons, and others.<br />
The game additionally supports multiplayer feature, through which
players can form guilds, apart from sharing armies and resources and
more, to attack or defend enemy forces. Both PVP and PVE battles are
offered.<br />
Dungeon Keeper for Android requires Android version 2.3.3 or higher to
run, while for iOS, the game is compatible with devices running iOS 5.0
or higher. Here are the <b>Google<a href="https://www.blogger.com/null"> </a>Play</b> and iTunes app store links for Dungeon Keeper for Android<a href="https://www.blogger.com/null"> </a>(Google Play) and Dungeon Keeper for iOS (iTunes).<br />
